Postcard Challenge

The theme for the Happy Daze challenge was postcards, thought it would be easy but no, I found it quite difficult.

The stamps are Artistic Outpost 'Fortune Teller' available here.

Came to enter my postcard and bu**er me, missed the deadline, story of my life, lol.

ATC's and envelopes

Three friends came to craft today and I decided I'd make them an ATC each, plus an envelope to put them in.  I saw the idea for decorating my own envelopes on Land of Nods Studio.  I loved making the ATC's and the envelopes, very therapeutic.

Here's the ATC's

and the envelopes

If anyone fancies swapping ATC's just e mail me (see side bar).

A lovely day

Spent a lovely day yesterday with friends at Craft Den making this gorgeous bag.  I loved it and am determined to make some more, already chosen my colours.

Jo gave us superb instruction and everyone made a terrific bag.  Lynne kept us supplied with coffee and biscuits and Bob makes a mean cheese salad sandwich.  Thanks to everyone, I had a thoroughly enjoyable day, can't wait to make the quilt.

What do you do on a rainy Sunday...

...when all there is on tv is sport, sport and more sport.  Hubby spent all afternoon watching the golf, then the Canadian Grand Prix, and spent nearly two hours listening to the commentators twittering on and on trying to fill in the time whilst the race was halted by rain.  Still I suppose it was worth seeing Jenson Button win, at least he's a Brit.

So what's a girl to do, escape to the craft room and try to create something, so here's my journal page

Background is Dylusion paints and sprays and the images are from Tumblefishstudio.

Did anyone see Nicole Scherzinger in that dress on the Graham Norton Show?  I laughed my head off, she was so embarrassed.  Even Graham had to tell her to keep her knees together, lol.

TIO #82 - Winged Things

As it's now chucking it down here in South Yorkshire, ventured into my ever increasingly messy craft room, honestly I've now got piles on top of piles and you have to tread very carefully if you go in, lol.  Just managed to make this tag for this weeks challenge over on Dragon Dreams Tag It On which ends today.  **Edit ends on Tuesday**

Stamped script in versamark, then coloured with DI's, used Stampotique medium bee stamp, bit of doodling round the edge.

Take a look here at other gorgeous creations and why not join in?

SCS32 Clean and Simple

I have been watching Joanne Wardle make clean and simple cards for a while now and greatly admire them, so when I saw it was the theme for the Stampotique Designers Challenge I thought I would enter.

I cut a circle using my Cricut (knew I would use it one day), inked up a piece of gauze with Dylusion spray inks, the bee is the Jo Capper-Sandon big bee, coloured with DI wild honey, then stamped onto Clearly For Art and edged them with Ink Gold in steel blue.  The sentiment is from Stamp Camp.

Ladies Who Lunch

It was our monthly Play Day last Friday and we chose a project by Helen Chilton which appeared in Craft Stamper.

This was extremely difficult to photo and doesn't show it at its best.  The stamps I've used are Poultry Party by Tweetyjill, DI in various colours, upholstery trim from Dunelm, wood courtesy of hubby.

We used lots of inks and tried different ways of applying them...

Sandy Poppins with lovely inky fingers

It was a lovely sunny day so we ate in the garden.  I made a lasagne, limonchello trifle and fruit salad.

Clare with her portion of the trifle!!!!

the fruit salad

One of my granddaughters has decided that she likes this project but thought it was to store recipes in, lol, so now I've got to make her a book to keep her recipes in.

Something of the night

Did this journal page when I wasn't feeling too well.

I think the images are from Itkupilli.

365 Art Calendar

Here's my May page finished

Not even started June yet, but got a couple of ideas.

Why not take a look at other calendars, hosted by Kate Crane, which can be found here
