Today is my husband Maurice's 65th birthday. He's not keen on altered art and prefers simple cards, not too fussy, so thought I better make a card he would appreciate. Then I thought, what the heck, I'll make one I shall enjoy doing. Here's the result - he said 'that's nice, thank you' and then put it down, but he smiled at the photo of himself. I think it looks a bit like a prison photo, I should have put some strippy paper on it!
We're off for a long walk as soon as the sun comes out, Charlie (the dog) is getting really annoyed because I've usually had him out by this time. Our son is coming for the weekend and we going out for a meal with my aunt and uncle (in their 80's), on Saturday night, to celebrate his birthday. Can't go out tonight because we're doing alcohol inks at http://www.craftden.co.uk/
Well I think its a really "stunning" card Ann, Hope Maurice has a lovely birthday xx
ReplyDeleteThe card is fabulous Ann as always - I've not quite got my head around this altered art but absolutely love what you've done! I was hoping to toddle along for alcohol inks tonight but I still can't stand up straight or drive LOL so no chance of that - hope Lynne does play time with alcohol inks again when I'm more mobile! Hope Maurice has a great day and hope you enjoy your playtime at the Craft Den

ReplyDeleteFound you via Dyan's blog, and what a lovely find it was. You've some inspiring projects. I see you have been to Art From The Heart recently. I'm there a week today with three friends. It was a few years ago now when I first went to one of her workshops. She inspired me then and still does today. Keep up the blogging!!!!
