Dina Worksop

Had a fantastic, but tiring weekend at Art from the Heart being taught by the fabulous Dina Wakley.  Pop over to her blog and have a peep at her stunning work. Dy and her helpers provided lots of good food and drink to keep us all going.  We worked at a furious pace but everyone had a terrific time.  Here's some of my work, some finished, some still to be worked on...

a first attempt when I was out of my comfort zone

very dark colours but managed to leave a little bit of white space

still to do some more work on this one

and finally to the piece of work which I found the most difficult and daunting....a portrait of my granddaughter Lucie, not sure she'll appreciate it, lol.

I met some wonderful, friendly, creative girls and although I found three days very tiring, wouldn't have missed it for the world.

  10. Great pages Ann. I quite like the first one with the white writing on and well done to you for keeping the white space...hehehe Dina LOVES white space but isn't it hard to keep some when you get going with the spray inks!
Now that portrait of Lucy is brilliant - I'm definitely gonna practice more with this technique - scary but strangely satisfying (mine didn't turn out as good as this but I still like them) Hope you're fully rested after the long days. x x x

  12. Hi Ann your work you is gorgeous, and your portrait is fab, you've so got the technique. I found this really difficult, and even managed to offend poor Annette as my first attempt was a portrait of her. Lovely to see you, sue x
