Global Warming???

Did this journal page the other day when it first started snowing....it set me thinking.  I remember when we had lots of snow, when I was a child and the schools never closed.  Don't know whether global warming is to blame about the weather at the moment or not, it's up for you to decide yourself.  I'm a very sceptical person I'm afraid.

Used Dylusions spray inks for the background, the fence is from one of T!m's On the Edge dies which I've used Claudine Hellmuths acrylic paints to get a peeled paint effect, the melting snowman is from the Octopode Facgtory.

Well, had more snow today, more forecast, so what better excuse than to tuck up warm in my craft room and do a bit of crafting.

Have a good day.

  3. Apparently it's really warm for November in Chicago!! I never got a day off school for snow either, we just walked (as normal) through the snow..... It's all down to health and safety I reckon. Stay safe! (Great journal, btw!)

  4. Wow, oh wow! I LOVE this Ann! The peeled paint effect on the fence is brilliant! And I love your Octopode snowman - classic.
I'm not liking this snow at all...it's ok if you don't have to DO stuff, like go out in it! But its only water after all....they should put it in MASSIVE storage vats and transport it over seas to places where there are droughts...x x x

  11. Fab page! I remember being off school for about a week when we had loads of snow and the school boiler broke down, but then I also remember being taken into the school hall to lie down on the PE mats during heatwaves!

  14. I can remember getting into school many years ago - as a teacher, well after 9, in the snow and the two or three local teachers had about 200 kiddiwinks in the school hall having a sing-song and a video and thinking what(the hell)shall we do next? Then they all went out to build snowmen and we spent the rest of the morning with lots of steaming socks and gloves on the radiators!

  15. we didnt have time of school either, we played in the playground and built snowmen. i guess health and safety wouldn't like that: too dangerous! i wish i was stuck in my craft room. i love the random look to this page

  16. Fabulous page Ann, love the colours and all the details ;-) I'm with you on the Global Warming thing, we may be contributing but as history has shown the earth changes drastically over time without any help from us.
As for schools not closing when we were young, most people didn't have cars and we used to walk everywhere didn't we? with occasional bus rides LOL
